SOL20 Day 3

Thought of the day:

Everyone should be more like my puppy Mossy. Mossy just turned 1 and he has been the biggest joy to have around. He is a huge chocolate lab with an even huger (is that a word?) heart. One of my favorite things about Mossy is how excited he gets to see my fiance or me when we get home. You've been gone for 10 hours or 10 minutes? Doesn't matter he will act like it is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to him, hitting his extremely eager tail on everything around him and whimpering in pure excitement. He seriously doesn't calm down for minutes until you put him outside. Dogs also have a funny way of knowing when you are sad, especially Mossy. I don't cry too often, but the times I have he has always been there to kiss my face and cheer me up, and when cranky me pushes him off... 90 pound Mossy tries to sit right on my face, and that just cracks me up and makes me feel better. Mossy is my first dog as an "dog owner", and I truly don't think I will ever be able to find another dog with such a great personality like his. This world needs more Mossy!

Comments

  1. I have a big yellow lab who sounds very similar. There is nothing that compares to their greeting and unconditional love. You are right, if we were all a little bit more like your Mossy the world would be a better place.

  2. The vision of Mossy sitting on your face to cheer you up made me laugh. Labs are such loving, enthusiastic dogs - sounds like you're lucky to have a great one. Go Mossy!
