SOL20 Day 16

Today was a day that felt like a whole week. Our school is closed for at least a month, and today we got together homework packets to send home with our students during the “break”. We were fed so much information today and when I got home my brain felt like mush. I will miss my students and my coworkers, but hopefully we are moving in the right direction and can go back to normal again soon. Tomorrow I am sad to say goodbye to my school, students, and friends but I am hopeful that it is for the best.

  1. I feel this, too. We didn't even have time to assemble packets or anything, really, for our students. I'm lucky that I teach high school & that we use Google classroom, and I've got my fingers crossed that the students log in... still, it is an overwhelming feeling, isn't it? I'm glad you made it through the day - take care of yourself!

  2. It breaks my heart to see schools close, but homework packets also break my heart. I know the desire to keep learning going, but I suspect the stress of this time will make students struggle w/ the basics of life.
